UPDATE: Thank you all for many exciting project opportunities that have been submitted! I have now closed the survey and students are in the process of committing to companies to work with and if you are lucky, a student team will contact you shortly. Unfortunately, not all of you who generously offered yourself as study objects will get a team of students this semester but your submission is very much appreciated nevertheless!
Does your business need marketing help? Right now my students in my Social Media & Digital Marketing and International Marketing electives are selecting businesses or organizations to help in terms of their online or international presence and some teams want me to help them find an interesting business to help. For priority consideration, please complete the brief survey at the bottom of this post as soon as possible!
Your willingness to facilitate a student project is much appreciated and non-profit organizations are also encouraged to participate as we wish to reach out more to the broader community. While some students typically have ideas of what company they would like to work with, others would be very excited about the opportunity to work with real businesses or organizations that they otherwise would not have gotten in contact with such as the Swedish bicycle clothing brand Sigr in Umeå in Västerbotten County in northern Sweden that a team worked with in the past. That is, your business can be located anywhere in the world as you can collaborate with my students online.
Disclaimer: There are no guarantees that your project will be chosen by any student team but please consider throwing your name in the hat if you are willing to open up and allow for students to gain some valuable real-world experience. Please note that these project teams are not to be mistaken for paid consultants. In the past, some businesses have been very grateful for the valuable help they have gotten and some organizations have indeed achieved higher levels of social media presence, organization, and understanding or understanding of international opportunities. In other cases, businesses had expected more from the students. That is just the name of the game and neither I personally nor Chapman University is responsible for the actions or recommendations by the students.
